DRYWALL ATTACHMENT
The drywall is attached with normal drywall screws directly to the metal furring strips.  These are an integral part of the panel with a spacing of 12 inches on center.

OPTIMIZING THE THICKNESS OF THE FLOOR
By utilizing the passages in the INSUL-DECK® panel for the utility lines, the thickness of the floor can be minimized.  The diameter of the longitudinal passages are approximately 4.75 inches.  Additional reductions of the thickness and cost are obtained by the self insulating properties of the panels.  The INSUL-DECK® system does not require additional insulating panels when a floor heating system is installed.
